    Re: How many players we have that are the best at their positions?

    It has not been deleted.  It has been moved to its correct forum.  Your opinion is still on here, it's just in a different place.  We are constantly moving threads into their correct forum, so it is better to check the other forums out first before just assuming it has been deleted.

    It's called having an opinion!

    Well my opinion on your action has just been deleted (?by you).  Seems like we are not allowed to have an opinion after all.  Why have you deleted that thread Gavinio....the one about the mods.

     how could someone rate pato above torres?? unbelievable and ridiculous!  surelyyo u havent watch them 2 play.Especially Torres. The only  player that i think would be the best in his pos. is evra. The others ... sad to say but no. Rooney is world class and great player all round but not as lethal as torres. Carrick probably best passer in England but he's got no speed. Fabregas got a good passing.. good acceleration. and dribbles better.

    Re: How many players we have that are the best at their positions?

    EffenSeven:

     I wouldn't say Torres is the best striker to be honest. He's good, but not the best. I'd rate Pato higher than him.

    i'd say torres is the complete striker. he has all the attributes that make him one of the most dangerous strikers in the game. i still think rooney is a better all round player and gives more to a team. torres may score more, but rooney is the player i would have above every other striker in the world.

    i agree that evra is the best left back in the world, and i think vidic and ferdinand are two of the best centre backs around. maybe the fact we have none of the best midfielders in the world points out that we could do with a big player for the midfield, i think we need a winger.

    1. giggs still puts in great performances, but he does drift in and out of games, and doesn't have more than a few seasons left.

    2. nani was a good prospect when we got him but now he's a poor player. he loses possession consistently, puts in a couple of good crosses a game, all the rest are straight into the keepers hands or wayward, and he isn't the kind of game changing player we need for a starting place on left wing.

    3. valencia is probably our best winger, but even he seems like he is hesistant to cross the ball at times, and he's nowhere near as penetrative as ronaldo was. he has great skill and pace and has done well so far.

    4. i don't know what's happened to tosic, he came as a player with amazing potential, and yet he's only started maybe 1 match. he's a very small guy and maybe he is being given time to adapt to the prem, but i don't hold out great hope for him becoming a good player for us.

    5. obertan looks good. skilful, tall, fast  and a good passer of the ball. hopefully he can continue to improve.

    6. park is one of my favourite players at united and he surely will be in and around the first XI when he comes back to fitness.

    in my opinion we should get rid of nani, he's had so many chances and hasn't taken them with both hands, he just fails to impress on too many occasions. and giggs will retire soon, so i think a good left winger would improve the squad.

    Were is Messi? Are you serious when you say David Silva is best attacking midfielder in the world? Gerrard, Kaka, Iniesta, Lampard, Fabregas are all much better in my opinion.

    Re: How many players we have that are the best at their positions?

     I get what you are saying but Rooney has played more games than Drogba. Do not get me wrong, i think Rooney is a wonderfull payer, i love the guy but most of his goals come in patches. if he learns to spread around his goals like the other strikers out there then i would pick him. Even if i am playing 4-4-2, Rooney would strugle to make the team.

     Team: (4-1-2-2-1

    Gk = Casillas

    RB = Maicon

    CD = Vidic

    CD =  John Terry

     LB =Evra

    DM = Lasana Diarra

    MC = Xavi

    MC = Fabregas (on current form)

    AML = Ronaldo

    AMR =  Messi

    ST = David Villa

    There is no spot for nani in here

    Emmanuel Khorombi:

    The most important thing is that we do not have many players who are best at their positions in our team. Only Vidic and Evra but the rest i do not think so.

    I am shocked at how many people would put Rooney in their teams. Why would you be putting him there, for the creativity or goals? it cerainly not for goals because there are guys out there who are better goal scoreres compared to Rooney. A guy like Drogba is creative and gets you goals, already he is better than Rooney. David Villa of Valencia is the same, his excellent finishing and his creativity makes him a better choice to Rooney. The only thing Rooney has over this othe people maybe is hard work like Tevez, he will run around all day and defend but he will not be scoring anything in the process.

    But that is just my opinion

    rooney scored more goals for manchester than drogba did for chelsea. actualy for the past 5years he scored more than all players except ronaldo with their difference being around 10 goals and remember that ronaldo was taking penalties. the reason why rooney s goal scoring ability is so underrated that he never won a golden boot. oo and if you play 4-4-2, then you most likely use striker and supporting striker.  i hope that makes sence why we included him now

                  rooney  david villa

     today is the day for doubters to realise how good fletcher is. come on fletcher!!!!!

    i diagree on fletcher he has come on a lot but essien still is better cause he does everything fletcher does plus has a cracker of a shot and score goals...is stronger and quicker to face quick forwards where else fletcher's depends too much on his positioning.....instead of villa i would say torres or drogba gives rooney the ability to play his best......but i agree with rooney,vidic and evra

    it is illusion ,

    they are strong because they play together but not seperatly

    i have to agree with you on this one. their combination makes them look better than they actualy are. i believe wesley sneider is a better midfield than xavi and iniesta.

    Personally, I would back Ferdi as the best CB in the world based on technique and skill up to 2 years ago. Now, due to injury and fitness it wouldn't be fair at all to put Ferdi there. There's no CB better than Nesta when he's on form, and right now he's on form. None comes close.

    I disagree on the Nesta part but hey it's a forum, it's all good.

    Might as well put mine in as long as I'm here, by the way this isn't a s starting XI it's just my opinion on who's the best in each position.

    GK: Casillas
    CB: Vidic
    RB: Maicon
    LB: Evra
    DM: Essien
    CM:Xavi
    AM: Gerrard
    RM/W: Messi
    LM/W: Ronaldo
    F(Man behind the out and out striker):  Rooney
    CF(Out and out striker): Torres

    ahhhhhhhh i like that, the 4-3-3 formation. and with a line up like that itd be unstoppable. disagree with torres but everyone else i can agree with. the out and out striker for me would have to Villa or Pirlo. brilliant those two. non stop workers. and they dont pout about and comlain to the ref all the time like torres ( if you want to know why i disagree with torres go read my first comment on page 1)

    Pirlo? Tongue Tied

    If not Torres then Villa, Drogba, Eto'o or Ibra.

    Beckham    Essien   Gerrard  Ronaldo
