    Although i did tell him the boat was called the HMAS SIR MATT BUSBY--THE UNSINKABLE  (think ill run with that name)

Correct on both counts..almost.  The boat on the badge is a reference to the Manchester Ship Canal but the nickname Red Devils came when Sir Matt heard it used in conection with Salford and decided it would be good for United as well.

    Fellow reds please help me out with answering a question for my six year old future OT legend.

He wants to know why we have the Boat on our Club Crest.

 I said i think its to do with the Manchester Ship Canel........Am i right??   Does this Ship have a name??  

    He also asked why we are the RED DEVILS???  i said i was told that we 'stole' that Nickname from a Rugby Team in nearby Salford that we once shared a ground with....  is this correct???
