i think in this case we need to study the facts of both club and manager, and compare them:
1. Manchester United thrive on attacking football -|- Mourinho is very tactical and defensive...
2. Manchester United's success has always been based on loyalty, longevity and love from the manager -|- Mourinho has never stayed at a club for lengthy periods, and though he has brought success, the fact that he's at a club like Inter Milan, and speaking about dreaming of managing other European Giants shows how loyal he is
3. Manchester United has a plethora of youth, and a system where we ease our youths into first team football, a bit like Barcelona -|- Albeit the fact that it is true, I have seen Mourinho USE youths before, it is not his M.O. to develop them or trust them at all in his team plans. He would completely isolate and ultimately ruin our up and coming youths.
4. Manchester United comes before player and manager -|- Mourinho comes before everything else, and we can see that even he is bigger than Inter Milan if he could say he can't manage lengthy periods in Italy, but can do it in England and he wants to manage United. Totally ridiculous
5. In closing - it is factual that Mourinho is a successful coach - no doubt. But he doesn't seem the type to bring longevitous success. His success stories seem to be a more immediate thing with a new team, rather than long term projects. For that matter, at inter, last season they weren't very convincing champions, and they don't look very convincing this season either... I'm not too sure if I want Mourinho as coach. People say "oh Ole is not proven" - but remember, before last season, neither was Pep Guardiola... judging from the success Ole is bringin to the youth team, I say Ole + Roy Keane for Manager + Assistant - they both love United, they both know 100% the way of Fergie (so that we can keep the tradition going) and they are both, from what it SEEMS, good managers.
No 2 Mourinho
