You are of course correct, however to put a pesimistic slant on this, our position flatters our performances somewhat, if other teams had performed better we would not be looking so successful (I am referring to the standard and results comparible to the last 3-4 seasons), in saying that we can only deal wth the situation we are in and considering injuries, poor performances, drastic changes, it is a testament to the skill of SAF that we are in a prime position to challenge for silverware this season.

It is also more apparent this season that certain players and positions could be subject to improvement, whether that happens from within of from transfers or whether nothing happens at all is to be seen, but do not be too harsh on posters who aspire within the realms of possibility to see our gorious club be all that it can be.

    brendymufc:

i think the season so far has been a success to many united fans are panicking we are second in the leauge into the last 16 of the CL and in both the domestic cups not bad for a team that lost two of the best players in the world in the summer please tell me wat other team could do that this shows the strenght and depth at united. i have been a supporter all my life and fergie has been there most of it if for 1 second you dont think fergie has somethin up his sleave you are very very wrong. i think fergie was right not to spend much of the money he had in the summer because clubs were quoting scandeless prices now he has seen what way the team play without ronaldo and tevez he knows exactly wat we need. he might get them in jan but if not he  well get them in the summer im realy lookin forward to see the rest of the season pan out and at the end of it we will see more silverware in the trophy cabinet so all i can say is thank you sir alex you are a legand the master glory glory man.united

couldn/t agree more brendy. SAF has now had the chance to see where we need new players and who works best with who.
