Well, after mentioning my absolute lack of comments on these important themes:
1) Glazers - OUT
2) the financial issue - I don't understand much except for:
- it's depressingly bad situation, i.e. we have so much depts (over 700 mil) because of the Glazers that we don't have any money and we depend on SAF's genius to makes us champions despite this and to leave strong team before he retires
- the best way for it to be solved is the club to be sold, because the club can't be sold for less than his depts.
I'm sorry I missed to comment them. But there's not much left to be said.
3) about posting about other players
- I'm glad I've never said anything about Nani. Because I've been mistaken about him.
- the same reason I've never posted anything about Anderson.
- I liked Park when he played in PSV. For us he's only selling shirts. But I can't deny that this guy likes to score in the big games (Chelsea 1:1 the previous season, Arsenal 3:0 the current one)
- I want to see more of players like Macheda, Diouf, Darren Gibson, De Laet - before that I won't comment them
- our Polish second goalkeeper (his name spells so difficult, although it's very easy to be pronounced) seems stable, although I think we missed the next VDS in Shay Given
- personally I'm not interested in transfer speculations. Mostly because the newspapers are 99% of the cases mistaken and just want sensations. Moreover SAF knows far better than me.
This leaves me only the other half of the threads to comment on.
Fair enough, but i have noticed you insult various posters in Players And Staff in the many Berbatov threads in there as you dont like there views but like i said previous if you reply like this then fair play fella, after all this is a forum and healthy debates are what it is about.
The ironic is that a smart guy like you sees the things in only one dimension. If a player doesn't don't play and if he costs 30 mil he doesn't play because SAF doesn't think he's good enough. Especially when it comes to the big games.
Try this: basics of team tactics:
- when you struggle in defence you pull the midfield to help the defence
- when you also struggle in midfield you either pull one of your strikers to play deeper or pull him out at all and add 5th midfielder, thus compensating the lack of quality in the midfield with quantity.
- Unless you're Liverscum you won't risk to play not 100% fit player and to risk his health and the game as a whole. Especially if you have working tactics against such teams which involves playing 1 striker only. SAF played 4-5-1 the last year in almost all big games (4-4-2 didn't work against Liverpool 1:2, Chelsea 1:1, Arsenal 0:2 the previous season and Liverpool this one; well, it also worked against Chelsea 3:0 the last season). So when you can't outplay a team, you beat him on counters. The midfield problem in such games finds it solution in playing on counters. It's also risky (Chelsea game this season 0:1) but especially against Arsenal it works perfectly. And we couldn't risk the noisy neighbours to beat us 2 times and to play final in CC.
Here's the explanation about the big games. Prove me wrong.
I have no interest in proving you wrong im not on here for that so i will move on...
Berbatov doesn't get the same service and it's obvious. When you have 2 strikers it's always like that. Drogba gets better service than Anelka, Torres gets better service than Kuyt, Tevez gets better service than Belamy. And the reason is in their positions. The one who gets worse service is the one that play behind the main striker.
Drogba gets better service than Anelka, as he plays as a striker while Anelka is selected on the right, them two players dont play in tandem like Rooney and Berbatov do when selected. Torres and Kuyt exactly the same, Tevez and Bellamy exactly the same, one of them plays through the middle the other on wings. So Rooney and Berbatov do have the service only one uses it better.
So what? A striker should have no vision? Tell that to Messi, please. Or to Henry. Ibra is also no bad choice for that. Well, 3 of the best offensive players ever (2 of them pure strikers) seem to share Berba's exceptional vision but what is good for them is no good for him. Nice one!
The striker's job is to find a way a goal to be scored. That means to score it himself or to help some of his teammates (most often his striking partner) to score. RVP, Messi, Henry, Ibra, Torres are famous for their assist ( or let's call it "overal play") as much as for their goals.
Where have i said a striker should have no vision? Please tell? I have said Goals are the most important aspect for a striker and whatever follows is a plus, only some judge Berbatov on his creativity and that alone. Once again Messi is a player who plays in a forward 3, Berbatov is a striker so comparing the two is pointless. RVP has 1 less goal than Berbatov and he has been injured since November so if you want to bring him up then so be it. Henry is 33. Torres is on a different level.
Let's all of us wait until the end of the season. That's the best. I'm also sick and tired of Berbatov related threads apearing after every game, doesn't matter if he plays or not. Let's just support the guy till the end, doesn't matter what is everyone expecting from him. He's United player after all.
I will say it again, i dont dislike the man, i dont dislike any United player, i support them no questions asked and will continue to do so, but us supporters do have expecations at United and if some arent living up to them expectations by the people who are the club, the supporters, we have a right to air them. Like i said im not going to talk anymore on this man until the season ends and long may his short goal burst continue.
Thanks, mate. Cheers
and let's just enjoy the games till the rest of the season......no problem and have one on me aswell.
