Giggs vs Yaya and Barry? Unless he's very quick with his passing, he's gonna get into a lot of trouble. He's no match for either in terms of speed, stamina or strength. Hope SAF is not making the big mistake he made last season with Park. I can see Welbeck coming to the centre often to try and help. But, I sincerely hope we're not ...

Regardless of the sent-off, we shouldn't have backed down so much. We went down psychologically, and allowed them to become galvanized. Plus, we lacked aggresiveness on the ball. Especially on the passing reception. Of course I am proud of our late reaction, but it was too late.
Much congratulations to the OT crowd for their support till ...

I'm surprised Mourinho is leaving Pepe on the bench. Let's see how Ramos and Varane fare against RVP.

Does Rooney have any sort of physical problem whatsoever? Hard to believe not playing our top guy in the biggest match of the season just based on some wild tactical idea. Of course, if we lose this will be discussed ad eternum. But we haven't lost yet, and it's no time to lose belief!

Finally I can exhale! Much better 2nd half from our players. Real shame RVPs shots didn't go in!
It can still easily go both ways. But we can BELIEVE!

Can we try and build an offensive play? Right now we're kicking the ball forward and hoping for the best!

Cleverley and Ando on the bench? Who's gonna make the connection between Carrick-Jones and Rooney-RVP with Cleverley out? Are Welbeck and Kagawa coming to the middle often? Won't that leave an open road for Arbeloa and Coentrão? Are Carrick and Jones gonna have to deal with Ozil, Khedira, Xabi and Benzema? Why Welbeck against Coentrão ...

I hate what Real Madrid represents in terms of arrogance, "We can buy anyone we want"-attitude and how they make players force their exits from their teams (see Xabi Alonso, Coentrão, Modric, etc). But I'm not dumb enough to think they are not the odds-on favorites. One thing we must try to avoid by all means is allow them to gain ...

It had already happened against West Ham. The ball falls right back to the other team many times, allowing them second, third and fourth chances at crosses, high balls or goal attempts. We are lacking presence there. This needs to be improved greatly for the upcoming big matches.

If I am to have anything to complain after the match, I doubt it will be the lineup. For once we're going in with a proper 4-4-2, leaving virtually no available key player on the bench. We're not showing fear like we did with last year's selection. Of course, they have a formidable lineup as well, and are always going to cause us a lot ...
