  • Re: The Gossip: Summer 2011

Having watched the reserve lads play, I think Sir Alex quite rightly trusts in the development of the current first team and the quality of those who are still developing e.g. Paul Pogba, Danny Drinkwater, Larnell Cole et al. Whilst Sneijder would add quality I trust Europe's most successful manager, to get things right.

I agree about carrick but he has missed the influence of fletcher ( on of the most underrated players ever at OT)defensively, freeing him to use his distribution. some of the range of his passing at times is excellent. However, I do think that Wesley Sneijder would fit in nicely, creatively.

On a positive note, I saw the reserves play last night and was hugely impressed with Paul Pogba and Danny Drinkwater in that very role! • Re: Poyet: Man Utd have no chance keeping Chicharito from Real Madrid

I hope you are right as Chicharito had a great first season. BUT I have heard all this before, players change clubs more readily than ever before and the likes of giggs and wes are rare. With way better wages, better tax conditions, government subsidies, better climate, more beautiful women, who could blame him. Real or barca are probably ...

  • Re: Wanted: Your reaction to Wes Brown's departure

I think it's a shame and maybe a bit premature, as the young lads can go off form and rio is injury prone. Defenders also pick up suspensions easily. Come Feb his and John's experience and versatility may be missed. Never the less I wish them well and hope they don't bite us in the @um at the stadium of light. I'll never forget ...

  • Re: Our Rivals - Dealings in Transfer market - Discussion Thread

Sir Alex already dismissed reports because Silva lacks the mobility to fit in to the premier league and would not want to take a massive pay cut by coming to Britain- nor more importantly would his agent!
