They're almost always bought with the intention of making them better, a lot better. United don't buy other top teams ready made stars on the regular, they ...

United very rarely have bought an Englishman that has failed. and for youth signings I think it should be almost exclusively English. Ready made players like Vidic Valencia and Evra are welcome though.
